Ep. #39 The Power of The Mind and Body w/ Stuart Wade

Stuart Wade is a clinical hypnotherapist, personal trainer, and sports performance mind coach. I am a 4x world champion in taekwondo and kickboxing and was inducted into the UK Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2014. Stuart helps high level amateur and professional athletes to perform better in their sport, win more medals, and progress their careers. He also helps them overcome any issues with anxiety and lose weight if they need to, using hypnosis (and related methodologies) and fitness training.

In this episode, Stuart and I discuss the science behind hypnotherapy, how to overcome stress, mental strength, and the power of visualization and affirmations. We go into how Stuart came to use, understand, and utilize hypnotherapy, visualization, and psychology to support his clients on their personal and professional journeys. 

The mind is a tremendously powerful tool that needs to be incorporated into any training program in order to get optimal results. Stuart has learned to engage with his clients on both a physical (body) and mental (mind) level in order to maximize their results. 

Stuart Wade

My name is Stuart Wade and I am a qualified Personal Trainer, Level 4 Strength and Conditioning Coach, Licensed NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Practitioner and Clinical Hypnotherapist.

I have a Degree in Applied Sport and Exercise Science and have been practicing martial arts for over 26 years and have won 20 British/British Open/UK titles, three European Championships and four World Championships in Taekwondo and Kickboxing. I am currently 5th Dan Blackbelt in Taekwondo, 2nd Dan Blackbelt in Kickboxing and in 2014 I was inducted into the Martial Arts Illustrated Magazine UK Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

My passion for martial arts and the discipline that comes with training for high level competition has led me into the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and Clinical Hypnotherapist. I combine the two disciplines with many of my personal training clients to help them achieve their goals. I firmly believe fitness is as much about your state of mind as it is about the body and now is the time to achieve the body and health you’ve always imagined.
